PENN Move Ya Body!

This term we are learning all about moving our bodies and keeping fit and healthy. In rooms 19 and 20 we have been learning the ChaCha and keeping moving through dance and thinking about what we eat and drink.

Hyperstudio Movie

This term we worked together as a class to make one music video. We had to take a line from our song and think carefully about what it meant then animate the meaning. All the lines were then put together into this movie. We hope you enjoy it!!

Music Making

This Term has been filled with the making of music. In room 14 we have been busy working with each other and thinking carefully about what we wanted to say to our friends and how we could use our song lyrics to express actions, feelings and ideas to others in a meaningful way.

Use your WITS

NED

This week we had the lovely lady from NED come a visit us. She talked about the NED values of Never Give Up, Encourage Others and Do your best. We enjoyed watching her do tricks with her Yoyo and we love the message NED had to share with us.

As a result of this we had Room 16 to visit and we create NED masks with them. We were Role Models for them and we hope our friendships with our little buddies continue.

Flying Things

This term we have been learning about flying things. We have made paper kites, Paper planes and now we are beginning to explore how plastic can be used to make our kites even stronger.

We are excited to share with your our journey so far as we explore the technology of Matariki through creating kites and paper planes.

Ginger Beer

This term our inquiry focus has been Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes. In this inquiry we have been exploring changes of matter. The Pavilion children have been exploring the changes of matter that occur when cooking. 

Our first big experiment was looking at what happened during the process of making Ginger Beer.

PENN - Easy Love

It has been a great start to the year in the Pavillion. A highlight for me from the last three week was working a group of amazing children to create our first PENN (Pt England News Network) movie.  It was inspiring watching these children work together to choreograph the dances for this video.
